The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union. It addresses the export of personal data outside the EU.
Introduction to FUN Club:
At the beginning of 2004 some members of staff in the Barbara Russell Children's Unit in Frenchay Hospital decided to set up a charity to support children and the families of children who had been patients of the Neurosciences Team in Frenchay Hospital. In May 2014 the Neuro Unit relocated to Bristol Children's Hospital.
Our Aims
-To continue to support patients of the Neurology Team at the Bristol Children’s Hospital with their ongoing recovery.
-To provide opportunities for children and families to meet up with others who have had similar experiences.
-To help families to stay in touch with the Hospital teams.
At the FUN Club, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors to our web site and our members. We want you to know that The FUN Club is not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. We just don’t do that sort of thing. But just in case you don’t believe us, in this Privacy Policy, we’ve provided detailed information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.
Personal data we collect:
The lawful basis we use for collecting your personal information is consent: we require your consent to retain and use the personal information you share with us.
When someone visits the FUN Club website we use a third-party service, Wix.com, to collect standard internet log information. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Wix.com to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. Wix is GDPR compliant.
As part of the Contact us and registration process to join the FUN Club, we collect personal information. Names, addresses, emails and contact phone numbers.
This information is entered into a simple worksheet Database, Password protected, on a personal computer, Firewall and Virus/Malware protected. We use that information for a few reasons:

when we need to contact you to tell you about upcoming events and obtain your replies on your desire to attend these events

to check our records are right, and

to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied.
We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
